The Stormrider VXL is our new favorite all-mountain ski. We all loved this ski ! A wood core ski with three layers of fiberglass and two layers of aluminum. The "V' in the name stands for "Variable" - the side cut varies with the length. But we think this thing has a "V-8" in it - it's powerful ! The "V-8 XL". It really inspires confidence and makes it easy to go fast. You trust it at any speed. Never feels like it has a waist of 85mm+ - it gives you that narrow, race ski edge grip. Also, it's notdemanding and makes quick turns easy. We think you could take this ski anywhere and ski it in all conditions.
